Martial Artist

Martial Artists are masters of unarmed combat. They have devoted their lives to the study of the martial arts and various ways to hurt people using only their bodies. At the start of training, they are restricted to cloth armors as all other types impede the intricate movements of a martial artist`s combat form, though as they gain more knowledge of the arts, harder non-metal armors begin to work better for them.

Within any battle a true martial artist can find moments of stillness, when their enemy stands wide open practically screaming 'HIT ME!'. This technique is the one that answers that call. It's full name is A Thousand Strikes From Stillness but it really isnt a thousand, it is a lot though. This technique is essentially an advanced form of lightning strike so all the usual prerequisites apply: Hands free, no armor, all that good martial artist stuff.

Dancing within the void is the full name of this technique and it is the pinnacle skill of a martial artist, many never reach this level of focus and inner peace. When one dances within the void they let their conscious self sink into perfect peace and begin to react instinctively to the slightest hints of their opponent's body language, they become more elusive targets, hitting harder and more often. This form of meditation though doesn't last long, and needs be initiated during or just prior to combat. Since it is a combat meditation, once not engaged in combat the state of focus will quickly fade.
